Brenda's Global Journey
In the Beginning
Though she grew up in a small town in Iowa, Brenda had ambitions that couldn’t be contained by borders.
On Her Travels
Brenda has experienced 80 countries, 6 continents and 3 cruises around the world—and has even lived on dairy farms in the Swiss Alps—but the “Chief Global Gal” hasn’t unpacked her bags yet.
In the Community
Brenda is active in her community volunteering, participating on boards and committees, and hosting events. She has also been the recipient of the Forty Under 40 Award and showcased in the Des Moines Register 'You Should Get to Know.'
In the Corporate World
Brenda has trained thousands of business professionals how to successfully live and work globally. She is the founder of her own international business: Worldwide Connect, a cross-cultural training firm focused on business executives and supporting many major companies across the globe.
In the Academic World
She earned a BS in Psychology and International Relations with Distinction from Iowa State University, and an MA in International Communications from Macquarie University in Sydney. Brenda has worked for an Australian university, taught ESL in 3 countries, conducted cross-cultural academic research in South Korea, sailed around the world and taught students around the globe.
